  • Portfolio Onboarding – You submit your debt portfolio details and we sign a service agreement. Our team sets up your account on Recovery Pro Digital immediately.
  • Assessment & Custom Strategy – We conduct a thorough evaluation, portfolio age, debtor profiles, collateral, and risk classification, then design a tailored recovery strategy.
  • Soft Recovery Approach – Professional demand letters, structured phone negotiations, and payment arrangement agreements aimed at voluntary settlement.

What does Steam Generation Recoveries do?

Steam Generation Recoveries Limited (SGRL) is a Tanzanian debt recovery company based in Dar es Salaam. We collect overdue debts, manage credit portfolios, repossess vehicles and other secured assets, trace absconded debtors, and sell repossessed property through licensed auctions and private sales.

Who do you work for?

Our clients are commercial banks, microfinance institutions (MFIs), SACCOs, asset financiers, government bodies and private businesses with unpaid accounts. We have worked with more than 20 institutions since 2015.

Which areas of Tanzania do you cover?

We operate nationwide, covering all 26 regions of mainland Tanzania, with field officers based in Dar es Salaam and upcountry.

How much does debt collection cost?

For portfolios of TZS 500 million and above we work on commission only: 25% of the amount collected and deposited, with no upfront fee. Smaller portfolios pay a fixed retainer of TZS 600,000 per month plus 15% commission on successful collections.

Is your debt collection legal and ethical?

Yes. We follow Tanzanian law at every stage, from demand letters and negotiation to field visits and legal escalation. Repossessions are carried out with the required legal authority, and auctions are run by licensed auctioneers.

How do I follow the progress of my cases?

Every client gets access to Recovery Pro Digital (RPD), our online case management system, which shows recovery rates, amounts paid, outstanding balances and next steps for each account in real time.
